The General Direction of Innovation and Educational Inclusion, depends on the Regional Ministry for Education and Employment, and is responsible of the design, planning, execution, monitoring and control of plans, programs and actions for the promotion of educational innovation, the development and use of Information and Communication Technologies and educational inclusion in non-university education.

Its functions are specified in the following:

a) Coordination and execution of actions aimed at the implementation of information and communication technologies and computer resources in Educational Centers.
b) Coordination and monitoring of programs to improve educational success.
c) The management of teacher training plans.
d) Introduction, development and promotion of experimental programs and educational research and innovation.
e) Organization, coordination and management of the Centers of Teachers and Resources.
f) Programming and execution of actions that promote education in values ​​and attention to diversity.
g) Promote the participation of families in education.
h) Planning and execution of scholarship and study aid programs.
