Objectives
Improve school integration through an institutional coexistence program that involves the entire educational community.
Methodology
It is an institutional coexistence programme that involves the entire educational community, aimed at improving school integration and working towards an inclusive and non-violent school, encouraging more satisfactory relations between peers, aimed at improving or modifying the climate and culture of the centre with regard to coexistence, conflict and violence (physical, emotional or psychological). It is based on emotional tutoring between peers where respect, empathy and commitment are the basic pillars of its development in educational centres:
- In secondary schools: 3rd grade students are emotional tutors for 1st grade students.
- In primary schools: 5th year pupils are emotional tutors for 3rd year pupils.
- In infants: 5th year pupils are emotional tutors for 3rd year pupils.
- Vocational training: Vocational training students are tutored by 2nd year vocational training students.
There are three work, research and evaluation teams whose aim is the development and innovation of the TEI PROGRAMME, located at the Personal Development Institute (ICE) of the University of Barcelona and the University of Santiago de Compostela, as well as the Evaluation and Development Team of the University of Alicante.

Enablers
TEI Programme is adapted to the organisational, timetable and curricular structures of the education system, therefore it is not necessary to make any type of modification to the annual or daily planning of the schools. The human, economic and organisational resources necessary for the implementation of the TEI are not significant and can be perfectly assumed by the centres. Additionally, it’s an evaluable and transversal model, applicable to all educational stages. Communication with families is key to its success. Similarly, the fact that peer tutoring is done between students improves communication between them.

Grade of linkage with the Safe Education Model
Peer tutoring approaches bullying prevention from an emotional perspective, developing cognitive, psychological and emotional competences, focusing on group and cooperative development and aimed primarily at primary and secondary school pupils, with tutors from higher grades. It focuses on emotional competences with a positive model, and on the empowerment of the class group as a preventive and dissuasive element of violent behaviour.
Its basic objective is to improve school integration and work for an inclusive and non-violent school, encouraging the relationships between equals are more satisfactory, oriented towards improvement or modification of the climate and culture of the centre regarding coexistence, conflict and violence (physical, emotional or psychological).
Grade of linkage with the purpose of Let's Care
The programme can be adapted as a tool against demotivation and curricular failure. In fact, it has been shown that it improves the academic performance of the academic centers in which it has been implemented.
Grade of evidence about impact and political relevance
The results of the investigations on the programme show a significant reduction in bullying behaviour, peer victimisation, fighting, cyberbullying, and cybervictimization in the experimental group after the
implementation of the intervention. Similarly, a significant improvement was found in school climate factors in the experimental group. The results obtained showed that the TEI program is effective in reducing cyber bullying behaviour and, at the same time, improving school climate. Currently, there are four research work groups from the Universities of Barcelona, Santiago de Compostela, Alicante and Francisco de Vitoria de Madrid improving the programme.

Reproducibility
The programme has reached more than 1,300 educational centers, 50,000 teachers and 1,300,000 students since its inception. With data from 2020, 300,000 new students joined that year. The programme has been replicated in all types of environments throughout the national territory. Its flexibility, low cost and easy implementation are key to achieving this expansion.
