The face-to-face course is open to a maximum of 30 people per group, the other members will follow the recordings and streaming where possible

Principles and practices of Freinet pedagogy (Video)

Freinet pedagogy was born from the experience of the French master Célestin Freinet and his wife Élise Lagier Bruno. It has come down to us, being renewed over time thanks to the educators/teachers of many countries of the world and their movements. The underlying principle of Freinet pedagogy is cooperation, which is not simple mutual aid but a way of relating the progress of each student (his emancipation, his progress in learning) with that of the collective class. Cooperation is not a generic value because it is concretely implemented in "techniques", real "institutions" for learning and for living together. The set of these “techniques constitutes an alternative pedagogical system to traditional pedagogy.

The internship will be conducted by Marcel and Danielle Thorel, two French teachers who, with the support of the school administration, founded the Freinet de Mons-en-Barœul experimental school located on the outskirts of Lille. Marcel and Danielle Thorel also helped establish a Research Center promoting Freinet pedagogy in Liège (Belgium). Maria Rosaria Di Santo will speak on the experience of the Italian masters who have interpreted and practiced the Freinet pedagogy in an original way. Enrico Bottero will lead the training.

Simultaneous translation into Italian will be ensured for non-French speakers. The course is free. For further information on Freinet pedagogy, see in Italian. https://enricobottero.com/pedagogia-freinet
