Jesuit University Ignatianum in Krakow (Akademia Ignatianum w Krakowie – AIK) is a catholic institution with state rights, run by the Province of Southern Poland of the Society of Jesus. University refer to the centuries-old Jesuit educational tradition based mainly on Ignatian pedagogy.
Akademia Ignatianum w Krakowie conducts research and study cycles in the following disciplines: Faculty of Education: Institute of Educational Sciences: Pedagogy, Art Therapies, Preschool and Early Primary School Pedagogy; Institute of Political and Administrative Sciences: Administration and Public Policy, Political Science, Management and ICT in the Public Sector; Institute of Modern Languages: English Philology; Faculty of Philosophy: Institute of Cultural Studies: Cultural studies, Journalism and social communication, Tourism and recreation, Institute of Philosophy: Philosophy, Institute of Psychology: Psychology.
The university has its own scientific publishing house and runs eight scientific journals.
