The future of children is today

The future of children is today. Tomorrow it will be too late.
(Gabriela Mistral)

One of the main premises in developing research and studies with children and adolescents is to consider them as competent, respectful actors and from a non-adult-centric position adapted to the peculiarities of children’s experience.

The SMAT technique is a child-friendly version of a SWOT for children and adolescents that answers four axes of analysis and associated questions related to “dreams, fears, joys and sorrows”. The playful-participatory laboratory with the SMAT technique will be the place where children will be able to show their perceptions and feelings in relation to their daily life and their particular history in relation to their family, their school and their community.

The SMAT aims to generate a very careful process of self-expression and child-youth participation that allows children and adolescents to become aware of all the dimensions involved in relation to their daily life and their particular history in relation to their family , their school and their community.

Two online workshops will be held in Italian
