On May 7th, 2025, Comillas University hosted a special event under the European HRS4R (Human Resources Strategy for Researchers) initiative, highlighting the role of research in fostering positive social transformation.
The Uniwersytet Ignatianum w Krakowie (UIK) attended the National Scientific Conference “(Re)construction of social relations in the real and virtual worlds” held on April 7th at the Faculty of Pedagogy of the Kazimierz Wielki University in Bydgoszcz, Poland.
On 24 April, the seminar ‘Initiatives and Support in Education for Migrant Populations’ was held, given by Nuria Lores Sánchez, Elvira Mateos Carmona (Cidalia) and Eva Bajo Marcos (Pontifical University of Comillas). On this occasion, the speakers presented the progress of the European project LET’S CARE – Safe Education for Students with a Migrant Background, funded by the Horizon Europe programme.
Within the scope of the Let’s Care project, the Uniwersytet Ignatianum w Krakowie (UIK) held on April 1st an open lecture by Dr. Ewa Sowa-Behtane – the Rector’s Representative for Equal Treatment and Anti-Harassment and professor of the university – on the topic of “Stereotypes, Prejudice and Discrimination versus Equal Treatment”.
During the 2nd International Conference on Education and Diversity hosted by the University of Zaragoza on the 4th and 5th of April 2025, María de la Torre from Fundación Promaestro shared a communication titled “Exploring Safe Teaching through focus groups: A collaborative journey across Europe” in which she presented the Let’s Care project.
As part of the Let’s Care project, the conference “The school that confronts and improves for children’s right to respect – building an emotionally safe educational environment for all” will be held on May 4, 2025 in Verona, Italy. Speakers from 6 European countries will participate, including: Spain, Bulgaria, Poland, Lithuania, and Portugal.
Saturday 3rd of May 2025, teachers from 6 European countries will meet in Bosco Chiesanuova, Verona (Italy) to discuss various problems faced by schools in Europe. This event is open to all upon registration and participation is completely free of charge.
In January 2025, Funcas hosted a virtual conference analyzing the latest data from Spain’s Active Population Survey (EPA, INE) on early school leaving (ESL).
The ARID association presented the Let's Care project during an event organised at the Agricultural Advisory Centre near Krakow. The event brought together representatives from various sectors, which fostered a broad discussion about its potential impact on the community.
